I love unschooling my daughter, because it affords is so much freedom for adventures.
We visited Joshua Tree National Park yesterday. Out there, the shadows cast by the sun softened the otherwise rough landscape. The rocks seemed alive with ancient secrets. There is no other place like it.
I loved it.
My husband loved it.
Kathryn loved it.
I saw a post online where someone asked if it was “worth the drive to go.”
It is absolutely worth the drive.
The scenery itself is worth taking in. Please hang out long enough for the sunset and once it’s dark, so dark you cannot see anything beyond your headlights, please pull off the road & when no other cars are visible, turn off your headlights and step out into the deepest, darkest silence you’ll ever experience outside of a cave, and look up at the glorious sky.
A Musing Mother
Hi! My name is Theresa and I'm a wife, mom of three, and grandma to two. I am a Nature lover and a follower of Christ. I live in an old farmhouse on the river where I homeschool our daughter. Most days, I can be found reading, making nature-inspired products, & gardening. I also enjoy traveling with my family, exploring cool local places, and helping out others where I am able. On the blog, I must about life, love, and learning.
